The sun had begun setting in Greenville, South Carolina. All afternoon, the threat of rain lingered overhead. It was my last night in town, and despite the length of the day, I couldn't sit still. This happens often when I travel; a strange combination of exhaustion from early morning exercise and twelve-hour work days with the restlessness of a creative mind. Most of the time I travel solo, but even when I have company, the majority of my companions don't have the same energy. So most evenings, I walk. But I walk alone.
